Development of a new identity and brand architecture for a specific region which also needs to incorporate industry operator inclusion. Ems Design examined the unique offerings and value propositions of the region and discovered that Mooloolaba appealed to several target audiences due to the diversity of the regions many offerings. Immersion, knowledge, and understanding of the region resulted in unique insight which became the main focus for direction. Development of a memorable logo with wide appeal in which the identity projects personality and immediate positive reaction. The result is an inviting and playful brand design which emulates emotive desires from the target audience. A hand crafted typography with a solid blue colouring evokes the ocean, beach and breezes that most people want. The final identity has been well received by both industry and the public, who quickly associated its presence with relaxation, escapism and fun.
